A couple clinging to one another as sinister, shadowed hands reach in to tear them apart. This piece took several months to complete, not because of a lack of inspiration, but because I kept finding myself stepping away for days, sometimes even weeks. At first, I chalked it up to the size of the piece, the challenge of mapping proportions correctly. It was, after all, my most ambitious drawing yet. But as time passed, I began to realize there was something deeper behind the resistance. This wasn't just a technical hurdle; it was an emotional one. The image reflected something raw and personal: the experience of loving someone so deeply while knowing your foundations were built from entirely different things. Where mine sought stability, theirs was rooted in temptation...a force that both fascinated and fractured us. That theme, temptation, wasn't one-sided either; it danced between us, shaping the relationship in ways we both feared and fed. This artwork became more than a drawing; it was a confrontation, a reckoning, and ultimately, a release.
